Mummified!

I saw these cute little mummy pizza's online and wanted to make them.. They didn't turn out as cute as the picture was on kraft foods but they were still yummy!

I wish i would have taken a before picture because they actually looked like mummies before the cheese melted.

When we first moved into our town home I bought this to go into the kitchen.. It was cute and I had good intentions of using it, but I never found anything to do with the kitchen to go on it.. So there it sat and it looked L-A-M-E! I wanted to hang like dried flowers from it but found none.. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of it while it was on the wall, but trust me you don't wanna see it.. It was plain!

So, I went to this.. Loved it! But it needed something... (too much green)

Voila! I adore it now! It brings some color to my kitchen (I would like to change the word plaque though.. it's all i had and it was just sitting in my car, why not use what you have.. right??).

Now all I need to do is find somewhere for my knob thing to go..

piggy flu

Yes, I had/have the swine flu. This is what I should now look like according to my dad. He asked yesterday if I was turning pink and if i was having sudden urges to roll in the mud.. no dad, in fact I am pretty sure I have conquered the evil sickness and I still look like me. When the doctor told me I had the flu I had to wear a mask, when I came out of the doctors office I looked like a freak / I got very strange looks as I passed people.. they looked at me like I had some sort of terrible disease. I have to take 3 medications (one of which gives me horrible tummy aches and made me throw up), I have to take some very serious sleepy medicine (doc said I should rest as much as possible) Matt wants me to take this medicine every night because it makes be sleep in (which I never do). The one good thing this flu has done for me is it has allowed me to take off 7 blissful days off of work BUT I cannot leave the house! Ok, this is fine for a couple of days but not being able to leave to go get milk or food or anything has made me go insane. Also, we sold our couches awhile ago so we could get some new ones and the sales lady told us "worst case scenario" that our new couches would take at longest 2 weeks to get here. Monday will be three weeks! THREE WEEKS.. we have not had couches for three flippin weeks. It is so hard to stay in bed for 7 days because there is nowhere else to go. I miss having couches... :(

This last weekend we went camping with Matt's lifelong friend and his wife. It was a lot of fun! It was freezing and there wasn't much to do up where we went but it was still a blast!!! I didn't take hardly any pictures because I didn't want to get my camera dirty.......

We got some pictures taken of us yesterday. I want to make this a yearly thing to see how we grow up! So since our year anniversary is coming up I thought now couldn't be a more perfect time! I picked a few of my favorites. ENJOY!

When I walked into my house today....

This is what I found on the couch...............

I said out loud to myself, "Awwa!!! I have the cutest husby!" I kick off my shoes and run over to look at what goodies are inside when I suddenly realize it's his "friendship basket" he got today from work. Don't you just love how it is ever so carefully placed on the couch?? Also how it's set perfectly right in front of my face as soon as I walk through the door!!! It's like he planned to trick me....

Well guess what hun!!! I'm opening the pringles!
